Author Topic: what the hell did i see??? (black fish)

i was enjoying some daily c&r for cutties yesterday havin a blast. i snagged up on a backcast and lost a fly so i stepped onto shore to tie up. as i was doing so, for reasons unknown, i looked down into the water to my right and almost jumped out of my wadders...

i saw a BLACK fish (looked like a TROUT) with a bit of yellow and white coloration on the fin tips, about 12 - 16 inches in length!! and it was floating BACKWARDS down current... it was alive too.

WTF DID I SEE!!!!??????? LOL.

ps. and no i wasnt trippin out.. i quit the drugs awhile ago thank you. :D

smaller and it didnt have those blatant characteristics of a chum. ie. the mouth

LOL. thats the one!

id say even blacker.

man it was strange.

never saw anything like it... mind you im nowhere near anexperienced angler.. still learning some basics even

So you're saying it was a Northern Pikeminnow? How could it be black? They're usually olive or silver colored.
