As noted in another post of mine the fraser was great today, hooked 4 springs and 5 socs, my dad and I limited out on both by noon after starting at 7am.

Springs were 14 and 30lbs, socs were are a healthy 6-7lb except for one runt. Only one soc with net marks so hopefully the other 3 are a good sign the river is filling back up after the comercial opeing.

The attached pic was take before we caught our last 3 socs.

too bad you chose to take the picture on the ground like that. It gives no clue how big they are, the rod doesn't help much. Good for you for having a great day though.

Nice fish. Does that mean it's salmon time? Pardon my newbmanship, I'm a born and raised fly-guy new to the coast....started salmon with the October Springs and Coho's last year.

Where were you and when, also what were you using. I remember fly fishing for pink last sept and it was hot hot hot. I also ahve a rod set up like the one you were using, so i can do the same as you. hook up the info.

Indeed its salmon time in the fraser, the vedder wont have a any good number of springs and coho until October ish now.

That bar went from 10 guys a week ago to well over 100+ this saturday...sorry man, no hints as to where it is, too many people know about it already to be posting the exact location now! All I will say is I was flossing the fraser runs, really as long as you have enough weight and a long leader with a sharp hook, most of the bars on the fraser right now can yield spring and socs at any point in the day.
