Author Topic: Fishfinders cheap anybody?

anyone know of a cheap fishfinder for river fishing i could buy new or slightly used...

Check the buy&sell. I placed an add in there about 2 months ago and within a week of publication I got a response. Paid $80 for a brand new Hummingbird WideOne. Call 604.280.1000 to place a free add.

freds and hubs both have a garmin fishfinder 80 for $138.95. Walmart also carries the Eagle 128 cuba for the same price.

From my personal experience - if you are planning to use fishfinder in the freshwater you should consider wide angle or even a side sonar. Water is generally shallow and fish flee from the boat so with a standard narrow beam you will see nothing (exept the bottom structure).

I seen some ads of 3d wide view finders with side sonars which seemed to be a nice fit for the freshwater. Though it gets expensive - Humminbird 3D Paramount Fish Finder.

You may want to check eBay for better prices. Good luck!

Check for big choice of fishfinders...
