for bottom bouncing (plunking): 20lb main line min, 15 lb leader (10' long) tied onto a 3 way swivel with a 2-3oz bouncing bettie, 2/0 - 3/0 hook with a small red corkie and thumbnail size piece of red or pink wool for springs. Most people use green corkies and green wool for sockeye but I always use red (the bright color red). because you will find that the color really doesn't make all that much of a difference. I can't tell you much about bar fishing because i have never done to much about it. Good Luck.

it doesnt matter what colour wool becuase the water is so dirty that they dont even bite, hence "flossing"

There are some "interesting" threads talking about bar fishing, bottom bouncing, plunking, etc. and the pros, cons, and ethics of each.
Try rereading prior posts regarding the topics above or any post on the Fraser. There has been a lot of debate lately and I don't think anyone is really interested in getting into it again! Also, the reports I am hearing indicate the spring fishing on the fraser is still spotty which is why there is not too many reports.

Hey Scobie, please dont EVER confuse Bottom snagging with Bar Fishing!!! We dont need to "Commercially Sportfish" these Chinook out of the river like these goons want u to believe!! Try to bar fish for them, where they actually BITE!!!
