howz the water clarity in tunkwa? it looks to be a fairly shallow lake, and i've heard its clarity can be very poor? is their any truth to this?

Was there last weekend, clarity was fair. Lake "turns over twice", now and end of August. Turnover lasts 5 - 10 days, should be clearing up nicely by now. Fishing is HOT, best in last 10 years for May. Ice left early, and numbers of fishermen are lower than normal. There was a large winter kill in Layton (next to Tunkwa) so many assume it hit Tunkwa as well - Wrong! Enjoy...and bring choronomids!
