Hi, I am new to Fly Fishing, and like to know where I can receiving training, in the lower mainland. I will check with Jeymer's (found them on this forum), but are there other good ones?

The Yak

I think for the price Jaymers is the best deal

Finally signed up with Reddicks (this weekend, one day dry-land course). Was thinking of Jeymers (2 days, 2nd day on a river), but this one is close to home, and I can get to know some local folks to go fishing with. Will let you know about the class...
gooey

I was going to recommend Ruddicks too...all they do is fly fish gear...the pics on the wall show catches all over the world, looks like they know their stuff.

As well, you get what you pay for, so a little extra $$s may make sense. I took a fly casting coarse and it was great. They had all sorts of rods: graphite - fiberglass, single - double handed, etc.

All I can tell you is that if some guy tries to teach you fly casting with older beater rods, the coarse will not be nearly as enjoyable as if you are using quality equipment. (i think Ruddick has sages to use in their class)

Give em a call and see what they say:
