is there any specific areas that are better to fish useing my flyrod and also standing on shore also , what fly pattern would work for kokanee's and i was also wondering if i took my spin casting rod out tossen some spoons around if they would work as well thank you

Cultus Lake is overpopulated with coarse fish - it is known for some Squawfish derbies. In fact the only fish I ever managed to get out of this lake were Squas (Pikeminnows) - large ones.
This lake is also popular recreational area with lots of motorboats and PWCs.
But few people know that it is a very important link in salmon and cutthroat trout development. In fact, Cultus is the home for a very late sockeye run (early October).
So, if you will catch some squas - it may help this endangered salmon stock.

i agree...its pretty useless fishing cultus lake without a boat..fish are very deep and don't readilly takes lures. cultus lake is great for bbq's in the summer though!
