whats is the common size fish caught at mike lake

I fish Mike Lake approx 4-6 per month the smallest fish I have caught there has been 9 inches and the largest has been 13 inches. Mike Lake is stocked a couple times a year and the best lure to use is anything green. I flyfish in a belly boat and use a green fly, I have seen people fishing from the shore using green power bait.

Water access used to be very muddy and shore fishing very limited as a result. How is it now?

I usually floattube from the entrance to the lake down the middle to the other end and back but the fish can be anywhere in the lake. If you are fishing from the shore then take the trail to the right of the entrance to Mike Lake and wake around the lake to you get to two logs laying out into the water then use either a flyrod or a rod with float, weight and hook with a worm or some green power bait. I had gotten some pretty hard stikes in the middle of the lake but havn,t caught them so could not tell how large the fish was. The lake gets slow around this time of the year but you can still catch 1-3 trount per outing, and thats what is all about.
