We are activelly using interactive maps on this site, such as: Search/Hotels and Search/Fishing Spots.
Do they work properly on your computers?
Can you drag the map within the window, do you see hotels/spots on the map, are they clickable?

We are planning to launch a new project soon - www.BCHotelsReview.com and use this interactive feature there as well.

IE6/Windows 98. Yes they work but the visibility leaves something to be desired (mind you it's a Pentium11 333 so it ain't new and neither is the monitor) on the maps and the only hotels that work are in Squamish. I may not be doing everything right in any case. It's handy but gimmicky-in terms of hotels I'd much rather have a real map.

I guesss something like this will work better...
There should be a lot of hotels/fishing spots on the map. If you click the index map near Chilliwack and position the map to show Vedder river - you should be able to see all the famous spots and click to them right from the Search/Fishing Spots page.

This is how the interactive map should look on your screen (Vedder Crossing). Stars indicate fishing spots and show name of the place on the mouse over. Then you should be able to click though to a particular fishing spot.

hey alex... im using Avant browser 9.02 Build 017, Released: 04.15.2004(which i think is an IE 6 shell/skin) on a Pentium 4, 2.4 gig and 512 megs of RAM, running Windows XP Pro and an ATI Radeon 9000 Pro 128 megs RAM. The resolution of the maps as they are now look way too low and that makes the lines on the map way too big and dificult to read at times. The map you show on the first example would be much better than they are now but i think it needs to be zoomable.

Works fine on Internet Explorer 6.0 but on some maps, the stars are so close or layered that they're inseperable (hard to click on the bottom-most star).

works fine on my tablet pc (ie 6.0.2)
actually, i am very impressed with the functionality - never seen anything like that on other sites. but better maps will be a plus. shown sample looks great.
