was wondering about brownsville bar in surrey. what is best method when bar fishing and what is best roe or worms. high tide or low tide. early morning or later. if anyone can give some advise .thanx

If you're after Salmon they come up on the tide-why would they struggle against a stronger downstream flow?

I'm not BSing. I've caught lots of salmon during an outgoing tide. If you don't believe me, read the book Bar Fishing the Lower Fraser.

thanks. i plan on trying this area in the coming months. by the way what size weight is ideal for this stretch of water. it seems the current is quite strong between the two bridges.

Well I had 3 steps to get that book from the shelf and here's what is says
"This bar is best fished at low tide.Strong current farther out, cast a maximum of 60'.Bait avaialble nearby.This bar is consdered the best on the whole river"
