Topic: Help with name of Run. |

 Was out yesterday and fished a ways up from the On the Way Store. There is a house on the left side with a Flag pole and a CDN flag. You park accross the road right next to a small arm of the river and then walk quite a ways to a big bend. There is a pool and then another further up a run and then to the next pool you have to walk through a trail. Hope someone can tell me I am trying to post a report..

I guess I was not very clear. It made sense to me probably cause I was there???
At any rate, you drive past the store for about a couple of KM's? You park on the right side of the road at a clearing with ample room to park. The bit about the house is just cause the area on the side of the road where you park is dirtectly accross the road. The Flag pole just stands out in my mind. You have to walk accross a small trib. and up the main river. The pool is just before the big bend in the river. I know this area is quite popular cause there always seems to be someone there when I go there. Maybe this does not make sense, hope it does. Fishing is and was pretty good there. Hope someone can help.

I think ya got mixed up....last pic is gun barrel (notice the log sticking outta the river and the 2nd to last pic is the dyke behind on-the-way...isnt twin cedars just below the prison camp run???

Finding proper names of runs on Vedder is a creative process  We used multiple sources to verify names, including some publications in Vancouver Sun several years ago and Berry's Bait & Tackle maps. Also I personally talked to many fishermen while taking photos of all the spots.
Still this does not warrant us from mistakes, but it was certainly the best effort  If you think certain things should be checked again, please drop a note to alex(at)sharphooks.com or post here on the Forum, so that other people may cast a comment.
