There may not be Tuna in the Fraser but there are still some monsters.
I got this one at PegLeg a year or two before they made it catch and release, I used a couple of dew worms for bait.
The dyke was still open then and the water was very high.

AARRR.
After a hard week of pillaging and plundering even a Pirate needs a day off

has sturgeon fishing picked up in the fraser yet?
Zig-Zag

Me and some friends were out last weekend for a few hours shore fishing and never saw a thing.
I hear it is picking up.

Zig-Zag

AH Ha Ha.
I was wondering when someone would recognise the photo but didn't think the rod would give it away.

Hey Zig Zag. Where do you guys fish from shore? I tried around matsqui before had some bites but no action. People in boats right in front of us were catching. Also has Anyone tried around Hope, around Emory creek.
Zig-Zag

I usualy fish from shore during high water. Look for areas where there is slack or slower water beside fast water or where you know there is a deep hole. They will hold in faster water I needed a 16 oz. weight to fish the water where I got the one in the picture, now is a good time to scout out them places. Sloughs and creek mouths are good and if deep enough they will travel up them

salley, you may try Mission Railway Bridge Sturgeon Hole. You should be able to cast far enough to reach that hole.

thanks alex I will give it a try. We have a boat but like to fish from shore when we have the kids with us.
