We too have been getting ready for our 24 day camping trip. Just changed the oil in our Honda generator, Picked up some Coke at London drugs. 2L are on sale for 99 cents so made a few trips. 32 bottles in the trailer, 20 bottles of 2L brisk ice tea as my wife like it with her cheap USA Vodka, Still have 2 trips planned to the USA for more supplies. Need boat gas, lantern fuel and gonna fill my propane tanks down there since it's 1/2 the cost of here. Also need diesel. Just put a new m/c superstore tire on my bike, new fan clutch for my truck. Here's one for you. Fan clutch Canadian tire - 321.00 plus HST. Ebay - 124.00 and free shipping to an address I use in the USA, Kinda a no brainer on that.

People still buy auto parts at Canadian Tire? :O LOL

That's the point, I did not buy anything there. i only use their web site as a gauge of of how much I saved

If you like eBay, check out www.rockauto.com I buy stuff from them for myself, friends and family. If you can wait a bit, the prices are decent on many items where the shipping costs are not prohibitive. Many top notch brands too. eBay, you really have to watch what you are really getting.

Well I finally added my mounts on my inflatable.
Easy to do but in a short time frame.Every coat of glue was a wait of 5 min between each coat (3 applications) on every piece and the last coat 15 minutes later, you had minutes to set everything in place.A bit tricky but after 15 minutes of letting it set and making sure no edges are curling upwards its all nice and hard, especially the one mount that's going to hold the down rigger.I wanted to make sure the piece was on nice and strong.

I started by finding the proper location for all the mounts then I marked them with a pencil and masking the whole surface with masking tape.
Then sanded all the surfaces on the boat and under each mount making sure they were well scored.

All the mounts are properly sanded in all directions...
Don't forget the Acetone application once all surfaces are sanded down.Apply a generous amount on a clean white cloth and clean all surfaces let dry 10 to 15 minutes then start the glue application.

This is possibly the best glue on the market for this inflatable...
Very difficult to find and not cheap either.

Now Ill let the whole thing dry for at least 72 hours...

I have bought a few items from Rockauto and autoparts tomorrow. While that glue may be the best on the market I'd still attach a string or something to the stuff you don't want to have fall overboard. No reason you couldn't tie them all together so if one does go you have a chance to save your stuff. I can see the down rigger being the first to go.
Big Dan

I guess its a chance Ill have to take but I'm confident that mount will hold just fine..

The down rigger worked out great!

And here I thought mounting downriggers to a canoe would get me ridiculed...hmm.
