Author Topic: Painting inside/bottom of 12' aluminum

I once painted the inside of an older aluminum I had yellow {I thought it would match the green outside}, what a mistake, the brightness almost killed me.

I'd go with a dull grey if you don't have an outside color to match to. It's neutral and not too bright.

I've always just used Tremclad, but there are other paint brands for metal too.

Here's some inside shots of my latest project.

Wondering what the rod holders are for that are on the back of the seats ?? Well, believe it or not, an umbrella can be your best friend in the hot sun AND rain.

I made up some cannonball holders that I matched as well. The floor boards I made kinda go with the trend too.

Very nice.
I like you oar hooks

The oars didn't fit properly inside the side brackets, so this was plan B. Their just $1.99 brackets from Crappy Tire with a matching paint job. Good enough.
