Hey has anyone fished these two lakes lately with any results? thx John
The Yak

I fished Buntzen about 2 weeks ago... Was skunked... fished from 2pm till 4:30pm on the west side of the lake. Try the east side for better results..
Capman

I tried Sasamat for 3 hours yesterday afternoon and not even a bite.

Was at Sasamat yesterday for 2 hours and nothing, nobody got anything while I was there. I got to the lake ~4) pm and two guys leaving told me they'd had a good day using eggs!? For me, not even a bite but different from a couple of weeks back, you can see some activity on the surface now.

a spoon on a fly rod... Blasphemy!....

Blasphemy? I have some of my best trout fishing using a fly rod to cast ultra light floating set ups! Now that has gotten some funny looks in the past. I love finding new ways to outfish everyone :-)

The Yak

Sorry im just a bit of a purist.... hhehehe.

no harm, no foul

I've had some of my best success with rainbow trolling a flat fish on a sinking fly line!

by south of Mission he means Mexico...heheh i think the whole picture is a fake.. I use Photoshop on a daily basis and it looks like a complete fake... If it was real the two people in the picture would have a different color cast...its a studio shot under studio lights...

The Yak

JoHn87

where do you use #3 sinking line?
Alex

Art photo is nice

As for Sasamat - most people fish on shrimp meat under a float just 2 feet off the surface. Cast as far from the bridge as possible. Normally it is a good strategy for Sasamat.

Fished Sasamat on Friday the 19th, approximately 15 others were there with a few coming and going. Was there for 2 hours, got 2 hits - 1 missed and 1 lost at the boom.

Try the west side of Buntzen lake trolling twenty feet down. Use a ford fender then a wedding ring. Last Spring and fall I caught my limit a couple of times with that rig.
