I have a 13 foot Boston whaler for sale. I used it on many of the lakes you are talking about when I lived there. It was really safe (unsinkable due to a double hull filled with foam) got me around skaha easily even when you get caught out there when the swells pick up out of nowhere, while still being good on gas. For smaller lakes I just tilted the motor out of the water and left the gas tank in my truck, while using a 40lb thrust electric. It was a great lake boat. The only reason I'm selling it is because I have started river fishing a lot and a fiberglass boat is not the way to go on the Fraser. Let me know if interested otherwise happy searching.

Whoops.... Meant to send this as a reply to euroangler's boat thread.

I might be interested. A few questions:

* Could you post a picture?

* Where are you located? (Ballpark.)

* How much would you like for it?

IMHO the absolute minimum for a safe small boat on the fraser would be a 12 aluminum with a 9.9 hp motor...and that may be pushing it at times.

I will post the craigslist ad I have for it. I am located in Maple Ridge, but I used to live in Penticton and am due for a visit soon. We could work something out where I could deliver it.

Thank you for posting the link to your ad. I don't think it's quite what I'd like to buy, but it was nice of you to bring it to my attention.

12 ft aluminum boats were the staple in the river before the jet boats came on the scene. That's basically all people used.
