Author Topic: Roche Lake park lakes

Im going up to Roche lake park area soon outside of kamloops, we were told all the surrounding lakes are good fishing. Just looking for anyone who knows the area well or can suggest which of the smaller surrounding lakes are best, were lookign for a nice secluded spot to camp. Do these lakes also have crayfish in them? i always looking for a nice spot to find them.

Have fished Roche Lake many times. Not so much the surrounding lakes. See attached map. Horseshoe Lake has good camping and is a lot smaller. Not sure about Crayfish though?

Oops here is the map.

Rose,Tulip,Horseshoe,Black and Bleeker are all easy to get to.John Frank,Frisken and Bog are a bit rougher.I remember a nasty mud hole to Frisken. Hosli,Bulman and Ernest require 4x4 with good clearance and tires. Frisken,John Frank and Bleeker often winter kill.I doubt you'll find a spot all to yourselves , but the more difficult the road the less people you should find.I wouldn't expect crayfish but I don't know for sure.
