Hello everyone. I'm relatively new to the area and very new to fly fishing...truth be told I haven't done any amount of fishing in years. I'd like to change that.
Should you find yourself wanting to get out and wouldn't mind a tag along trying to soak up every useful bit of knowledge you have on the sport..I'd appreciate the chance to learn.
Last fall I saw all kinds of people along the fraser and out by Ruskin damn, are these areas fishable this time of year?

welcome carob.
the stave has cutthroat trout now. the sections of the frasre you speak of were probably salmon waters. for cutthroat in the fraser find some back waters.
the stave can produce some fun

Thank Sharp, is that the lake or the river your talking about?

the river, below the dam down to the fraser. look for them jumping in slow parts. i have not fished there for years and the river changes constantly but hike along the shore with your eyes open and you will find them. minnow patterns work well for cutties. be sure to check your regs as to what you can/can't keep.
