Last year I smoked alot of salmon, but when it came to trying trout it seemed pointless to pinbone and awkward to debone. Seeing some photos of trout smoked whole: I was wondering if people bother deboning trout at all. When smoking small to average sized trout: do most people just filette them or do they debone and/or pinbone them as well?
Catch:

We just smoke them whole. Pretty easy to pull the bones + skin off once smoked up. MMMM smoked kok's are nice. Also the rainbows from up around highway 24 with nice red meat. Tasty! Give it a try. I do enjoy my Auto smoker. I don't Like the white meat trout from around the lowermain land...I just let those little fish from these parts go. Good fun still. Good luck with your smoking.
