We fished it all day with no luck. So many other boats out today! All with the same zero's. Just no fish I guess! At least the sun didn't suck. Got a nice red face lol.

Has anyone had much luck up river in the last few days?
terik4187

I was up there all day too. tried pretty much every where including Sat in the mouth of Harrison on boat. tons of boats no bites at all.

Well last 3 weekends have been great for our boat in the vedder lots of wilds though only a few hatchery, from what im seeing people are using the wrong the lures!!! if the pic shows thats just a little 18 pound wild buck lolol and of course you can tell where im fishing lol
riverrat

So anyone get out on the weekend? Should have been decent after the rain - esp sunday.

First half of Oct has been outstanding but as of last week it's been tapering off.
smokin

18lbs? doubt it...
fishing777

63vette, what lure/setup do you suggest? Thanks for any input!

We tried blue fox's, Croc's, koho's, Colorado's and teaspoons. All sorts of color's /size's etc. Both trolling and casting etc. Thanks
63vette

I always have a brass mepps in sizes 3and4. both brass and chrome vibrax 3and 4 bluefox and the ticket for that weekend was blue body vibrax chrome or pink.. And smokin yes it was 18 also have caught a 20 and 21 in the past years.
63vette

lolo ya it was only 4 pounds if you cant tell how big and fat that fish is especially bye a net that will hold a spring..
cagey

look, it was a big fish. the picture was from a distance. what makes you guys experts on the weight of a fish in a picture like that. and besides who cares. if you are going to show off your expertice in "calling" someone then show off the rest of it and tell all of us what it actually weighs. far too many members are scared to post because of all the abuse they receive. lighten up!instead of getting so uptight why not post a fish you think is 18 pounds so we can see if there is a diference. i weighed an 18 pound spring this year. from 20 feet away it probably looked very similar to the above coho but i cannot say as i did not have its picture taken from such a distance!
to 63vette,nice fish by the way. and keep up your tips . the young guys on the site appreciate it (as do some of us old members!). and get your cameraman a bit closer. tell him the fish won't bite!
63vette

Keep smoking fattys weighed and released ill show ya what a samll fish looks like this is a 8 pound plus trout lolol
63vette

If ya can read the scale thats 12.7 lbs..its a baby compared to the 18
Beak007

Nice wild coho hanging from the weighing scale.
63vette

Yes it is and let go succesfully to go and spawn,im a sport fisherman i dont eat fish period...
Beak007

as if i care about being called a retard by kids on the net lol.

what i do care about is people who can't seem to get it when it comes to protecting wild fish. why the hell would you hang a wild fish up to weigh just so u can boost ur ego? that fish may have swam away, but probably bellied up soon after. pathetic.
smokin

yet another beak posting pics of mis handled fish, awesome. If your dumb enough to put something like that on here expect to ridiculed.
mzmann

agreed on the mishandling but we have all been guilty of it one time or another!...as for the weight though.....who is everyone to say that it wasn't 18lbs?.....looking at the pic and the one he weighed in at 12lbs I dont think its that far of a stretch to look at the other one and believe that it could have been 18.....as far as im concerned everyone who has bitched about his weights being off are just jealous fishermen, lol....whether he is off or not all you are doing is sounding like a bunch of little boys having a dick measuring contest...Who cares!!....it was a big coho....end of story.
cagey

exactly!!!
Beak007

mzmann, theres nothing wrong with making mistakes, but when someone replies with "Yes it is and let go succesfully to go and spawn,im a sport fisherman i dont eat fish period..." its obvious he doesnt get it and will keep doing this instead of change.

nice to see the retard comment has not been deleted lol, can't expect much more from the mods who spend more time being biased than caring about the resource. imo abe's thread was just fine, hot spotting needs to be discussed and no reason to delete it
kelso

For 63vette.
It is lenght x gerth x gerth and you can get a weight. Nose to Tail, biggest part of the midsection use that equation. No scale quick and easy you don't even have to take your fish out of the water and a fabric tape measure is cheaper than a scale. Tight lines
breathinginSulfur

8lb plus trout? lucky it if wieghed 6 if you shoved a few bar wieghts down its throat,

12lb wild coho hanging from a scale than saying your a "sportsfisherman" and released it?! and a 18lb plus wild caught and landed with a knotted net.

give your goddammn head a shake, learn some ethics for cryin out loud. i really hope you arent a steelhead fisherman, if so , you wont be for long, your ethics towards fish will kill them all and leave none left for my children.
Drift max

Everytime i visit this site i see the most insane stuff, and it's totally pointless to try and point out the obvious. This website is beak paradise, and a total joke, like seriously buddy hangs a wild one up to dry... real classy. Cant wait for the day the government decides to make people write an exam before being handed a fishing license, almost everyone on this website would fail, and the rivers would be left to the folks who love and respect the resource. Learn how to identify, and properly handle fish, please do the earth a favour
SuperBeak Phan

Beak - A person who is observed from 'better observers' attempting to tempt a fish into striking while practricing less than adequate etiquette on the better observers section of angling water
SuperBeak - As read from above
Or being a registered user on an internet fishing website no matter what their level of experience

63vette

Honestly didnt think it hurt the fish, but i will not do that anymore . Ive also caught plenty of trout over 6 pounds and this was definatey bigger like one said im not getting into a pissing match over a fish. Ive taken your points and will go with them.
BeakerBeater99

I am for sure a fan of superbeakphan and his comment on beakers.

Cool 63vette, as long as u dont do it again, its all good.

what i have a prob with some on this site is they insist on not changing after being told they're breaking the regs (mr grey's high grading, a few others' fish mishandling).
NAME DELETED
(SORRY BEAK 007 BUT THE NAME GOES!- THE MODERATOR )

from that pic, is thompson the new kwb? lol.

imo, fishing with rod may seem beaky, at least people will handle release fish properly. can't say the same about a lot on this site.
BeakerBeater99

those three loooooosers were at the thompson lol no business being there on classified waters,
Beak007

U know when someone can't find any excuse to defend himself when the name calling starts. keep them coming.

Anyway. I was referring to the report when the stringer was used to keep fish alive. If high grading wasn't the intention, it is still illegal to keep the fish in ur possession alive. somehow u don't seem to get it.

MR GREY 1 MADE A MISTAKE SOME TIME AGO. IT IS TIME FOR YOU TO FORGET ABOUT IT. EVERYONE DESERVES ANOTHER CHANCE, EVEN YOU BEAK 007. YOU HAVE BEEN SOMEWHAT MORE POSITIVE LATELY. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
AS FOR MR GREY 1, THREADS ARE NOT GOING TO BE DELETED FOR NO REASON. YOU WERE GUILTY OF AN OFFENCE . NOW THAT YOU ARE FULLY AWARE, AND REMINDED FAR TOO OFTEN, I AM SURE YOU WILL NOT DO IT AGAIN! NOW LET'S GET ON TO TALKING FISHING, NOT HATRED.

Thatsarainbow

That is true beak, the second you decide you want to keep the fish you must club it or kill it another way.
