So im new to the vedder and every time i have been out to peach and lickman road but i got skunked. Im using plastic roe (with float and short leader)... is that pretty much useless? I guess its probably similar to using red wool. I will probably use real roe soon but the people around me dont seem to catch anything either. Is catching a rare event right now? I would catch pinks every few casts in the fraser though. Thanks guys

Try the real stuff, and just put in the time to learn the river. Also try short floating some spoons as well. Good luck.

Or at least just stay with wool. Pink, orange or red. Tiny piece the size trimmed to your pinky nail. Wool in the water has slight movement which ads to attraction to fish.
