So i got the ticket and one of you said that i am allowed to park on the grass side which is cn rail property. Do i have to pay the ticket? What are my options?
Beak007

lol... Serves you right for listening to "advices" from someone on the net instead of following the rules. Feel free to follow more great advices like "do nothing" and see what happens. Ring ring, is that a debt collector on the phone? lmao!
abe

you should dispute that ticket. its less of a hazard for you to park well off the road where you had parked. than park way down the hwy on the edge of the road, almost getting hit by the trucks going down the road at 110+kmh.
ethicalbonker

Ya im not happy about the parking and i think its even more dangerous now for me and my son. But i think that ticket is legal because its native land and will be enforced. The signs wouldnt be up if it wasnt.
YZ125

But the RCMP issued the ticket.
katfish

Debt collectors may call you and that can get annoying. Letters are good fire starters. There can be a search 'hit' on your credit rating, but they rarely report your bad debt because it costs them money to do that. They will never sue you for such a small amount. I agree though they really can't do #### Admin deleted expletive #### about it. I say don't pay it.
mzmann

Sorry to tell you Puka but that is simply not true....what they will do is once they have a bunch of unpaids (which is quite often actually) they will basically sell them to a collection agency for a nominal fee for the lot of them and then the collections process will proceed......trust me as my missus is a bill collector and has been for quite a few years now as well as manages a collections program for quite a large national company.....doesn't matter if a bill is $5, $20, $40, $500, etc, ect....one main difference being that if it is a larger sum then of course they themselves will do everything they can on their own to collect or pay an agency a fee to collect on their behalf rather than "Sell the debt" to a different agency......hows that crack you're smoking now? lol
mzmann

Wrong as well Katfish.......and if it was the actual rcmp that issued the ticket then you really had better pay it as they (as most anyone else) will charge interest and if its an actual rcmp ticket and you don't pay then be prepared next time you get pulled over or stopped for anything!.....and either way it does go as a mark on your credit report once it goes ignored/undealt with.....the "collectors" purchase large lots of equifax at a highly discounted price so it doesn't cost them much at all in the whole grand scheme of things to put a bad mark on your credit!
G.A.

its clearly marked where to park and not to..thats what them no parking signs mean...dont park. lots where there is no signs..so we have to walk a ways. obey signs. real easy. even with signs aqnd tickets last week and new cement barricades right at entrances people where still parking every day as i drove past over the weekend. some just dont get it. what i dont get is why they pick on that spot and not the rest as all have no parking signs. especialy at scale with it being a truck weight scale. that is definatly not open to public but nothing seems to be done
mzmann

Puka......"debt collector? Are you on crack?

Debt collectors send letters for up to $500, which you wipe as toilet paper. It takes over 20, 000$ to make it worth a legal procedure"

Read my posts again......even for a $40 ticket it will go to collections and will go against his credit!!....if in "Legal Procedure" you are referring to taking someone to court then as well its much less than $20,000....more like $1000.......BUT in this particular case of a $40 ticket, no of course it would never go to court but it will indeed go into collections, cause the collectors to call constantly, cause a bad mark on credit report, etc, etc.....I would MUCH rather pay the $40 and save all that!!....not to mention that if indeed it was the RCMP that issued the ticket well then that makes things even more complicated......bottom line....Just pay the ticket YZ and save yourself bad credit marks/bunch of hassle and possible other repercussions with the rcmp!....Just my opinion though and trying to give factual insight on it

Cheers
mzmann

HAHAHAHAHA.....ok whatever you say there Puka...Wife doesn't have to tell me and pretty damn hard for her to even if she tried to considering I am currently at work in Iraq......Doesn't matter what you THINK as far as im concerned and well if the OP takes your advice (which I highly doubt) then he will see for himself....especially if its an rcmp issued ticket....and as for your "Real job" comment......so I guess managing a credit dept and collections program for a very large national and actually multi national company is not a real job...ok buddy, LOL....I have ZERO problem admitting to that!!

Its people like you that need some sense slapped into you for not paying your bills!!....people with real Jobs sure do!
mzmann

Wow, you really are much more daft than originally thought!!....watch out folks we got a smart one here, lol. If you perceive the above figure of speech on needing some sense slapped into you as a threat or as going beyond legal then you really have many more issues that you really should seek out help on...here..let me do you a favor and spell it out for you seeing as you must be to daft to comprehend it on your own......."Its people like you" is right on the money...not directed at any one in particular just to a whole of "people like you"...."need some sense slapped into you" could very well yes mean Face/palm, but also could mean as it does in most cases of the sense (figuratively speaking!!)...or simply sense slapped into you by actually not paying a bill hand having collections come after you and ruin your credit (some reason I think yours is probably already far from perfect, lol)

"My violent attitude" BWAHAHAHAHA...if you say so man, but far from it unless one gets on me bad side and even then it would rarely ever present the need to actually get "violent" lol

And yup, sure am in Iraq, zero problem with getting a Job in Canada or anywhere else pretty much in the world for that matter, I do what I do because I choose to not because I have to....sorry, don't like the boring and monotonous 5day/week 8hr/day job...just not my cup of tea and I (and my wife) love the fact that I have 6months of the year off to do what I please and have incredible freedom while still making a pretty decect paycheck ;-P......and trust me, you wouldn't have a chance in *&^* with my missus, as she would probably make you cry like a little girl, chew you up, spit you out, not give you the time of day, LOL

Man, smart people like you are so much fun!!...Great entertainment and good for passing the time while sittin here...actaully you kinda remind me of the locals here that live in their mud huts and can't really think for themselves.

Cheers mate
mzmann

Right, because that was so tough and i'm being/I am such a "thug" LOL...again your brilliance is shining through oh so bright
mzmann

To the Admin's and Op......srry for the off topic rants and replies but one just could not resist when dealing with the mentality of this caliber....edit/delete as deemed necessary but i'm sure will give others a good laugh as well wether it be towards me or Puka its no matter to me either way....great entertainment to say the least

cheers,
mzmann

Yup...Quotes from above....make of it as you will peoples ...hardly what Mr. Bright tries to make it out to be, lol........."Its people like you that need some sense slapped into you for not paying your bills!!....people with real Jobs sure do!"............."here..let me do you a favor and spell it out for you seeing as you must be to daft to comprehend it on your own......."Its people like you" is right on the money...not directed at any one in particular just to a whole of "people like you"...."need some sense slapped into you" could very well yes mean Face/palm, but also could mean as it does in most cases of the sense (figuratively speaking!!)...or simply sense slapped into you by actually not paying a bill and having collections come after you and ruin your credit (some reason I think yours is probably already far from perfect, lol)

Im such a "thug" and "Bully" bwhahahaha" looks like someone has their panties in a knot over baseless assumptions as stated above lol

And don't worry Puka, I am enjoying it here, quite nice in many areas actually (granted yes some are indeed not so nice)...as well as opens ones eyes to different ways of life and different cultures, etc, etc rather than be a close minded imbecile I'll take this any day of the week.....again, go off of what you "hear" and not what you know or have experience with shows your true brilliance.....the more you talk the better its making you look lol
katfish

I work high dollar AR - this not 3rd party deb collection. Yes, small debts go to collection agencies and they are a pain. That's their strategy: bug you and threaten you. there may be a small mark on your credit rating, but it won't mean anything if your credit is already established. I pay small fines when I make a mistake. But have ignored a couple parking tickets on point of principle and nothing has happened adversely to me. Don't pay it if you believe strongly in this but be prepared for some phone calls!
mzmann

Well said Katfish....small mark yes, but stll a mark none the less and one would still have to worry a bit more I would think if indeed its an RCMP issued ticket!
G.A.

wow...lol

anyways ive had a ticket before and i wasnt able to renew insurance till its paid. it was also added to my home property tax. so if i wanted to loose my home...sure dont pay it
G.A.

death collectors....lol

has to be the lowest form of a job hounding a poor guy that just lost his job from our bad economy and they dont have any sympathy. they have no clue about anyone personal circumstances. ive had them threaten me and recorded it and i charged the looser....was with more than a slap threat to.
was so funny in court to see the loosers face after denying even calling me when i played the taped recording to them....guess hes in the debt line up to now/..karma at its best once again
think id rather work at mc donadls
