Hi,
Although I won't be going, I may be able to give advice? Do you need advice for flies, rods,...?

I'll be there and I chuck flies. I'll be stopping off at the cafe in the morning if you want to meet up.
Have any question you can ask now? or is it just 'on the water' questions?
Cheers,
Mike

Hey mike
I was just wondering a few things? I have a decent collection of flies but I was thinking of picking up some more either at the convention or at my local shop, do you have any fav's for the vedder. also I have my sink tip line thats on my rod now,but my prob is that I olny have one other reel and two lines (floating and sinkin)do I need any of them? thax

Well, I've only fished the Vedder once before and do not know the system that well, but regardless of the system I always take my favorites.
Silver Rolled Muddler #10 Olive bead head wooly bugger #10, #12 Yellow Stone (with bead head) #8, #10 Brown stone(with bead head) #8, #10 Egg sucking Leach #10
Other than that I have others in my box that I will use if those do not produce, but I love the Muddler as you can always trim it to make it look different.
I would bring both lines as you can use the sink tip in deeper faster runs and if need be, the floating in the slower not so deep runs.
Does this help any?

Micheal< doesn't look good for me fly fishing at the outting, I have my friend that is driving wanting to take the river rods and go drift fishing. I might have to go with him on that one, plus in lookiung at my reel and reading some of the comments on landing a steelhead with a fly rod on sharphooks, I don't think that gear would hold up againts a big one. mabey i'll get a secound opinion I'm still going to bring it just in case but, I don't know if I will use it.
