Hey ther my name is Ian. I am new to Kelowna. This will be my first winter here. I am very anxious to get out fishing ASAP. Does anyone out there have any info? Fishing reports, ice conditions, lakes ect..
Merry Christmas

One of the members went onto Darke Lake recently. See the Fishing Reports.

So where were you before Kelowna? I guess it must be somewhere where you ice fish.

Don't spoil your Christmas with thin ice though.

yes some of the lakes are pretty thin and with the warm weather after heavy snow i think the ice is poor. for ice fishing we need cold weather. higher lakes shold be ok though

Thanks,
I am originally fron Northern Ontario and have been fishing for pickerel(Walleye) all my life, so trout fishing on a regular basis is some what new to me. What would be classified as a higher elevation lake? Lamby Lake? I wouldn't mind taking the kids for perch. They are used to the fish practically jumping in the boat so the finese fishing is some what of a challenge for them.
Thanks for the response's.
Cheers,
Ian

Coquihalla Lakes right by the old tool both. 14-16inch rainbows; just use shrimp or power bait of any kind. Awesome ice fishing.

do you know when Coquihalla Lakes usually freezes over?
