gonna try some of them for rainbow trout fishing and wondering because they are so light and cant cast very far with them how do u add weight to them ?????

I tend to put them above a swivel Here is my attempt to show you in a crappy diagram:
---- = line RT = rooster tail lure S = swivel 8 = split shot
---------88-S------RT
I hope this some how helps. I tend to use 2-3 split shots which get it the distance that I need. It doesn't really mess up the lure action too much either and keeps the lure moving straight instead of moving up
