Im gonna go buy a 10'6 Shimano Convergance Rod on Thursday but what should i get Med action or med to heavy action whats the difference between the two is it just different flex in the rod or what i should know this but im kinda haveing a massive BRAIN FART right now and cant think properly lol !!! thanx for the help

i would stay away from heavy action. with a medium aciton rod you can land big springs no problem. with a heavy action rod, the feel is not very good, especially wehn you are fishign for fish such as coho and steelhead. but remember, stick to the light weight recommended on the rod.

Alex means 'stick to the line weight on the rod'.
