I have a 10.5 rod right now and its only about 2 months old but i dont really like it, its nothing special but it does the job , but i wanna buy a new one, cany anyone help me with what to select for the rivers and what kind of rod im supposed to be looking at i think i have an idea what im looking at but i wanna see what you guys all think first, i dont want to spend a pile of money looking in the range of $70-$150 if possible. Thank you for the help

I keep hearing Shimano Convergence. That's what I bought for my river rod.

Dyer Straits

Freak - As max mentioned, the best deal IMO, Is the Shimano convergence line of rods. They are a great value and the quality cannot be matched in this price range. Have a look at your local shop and choose which is best for you (Medium or Medium Heavy). If you want to step up a bit you could look at the Fenwick HMX line of rods. They are a little better quality but quite a bit more money. Shimano is my choice with the price being around 75-90 bux.

convergence are by far the best(i think)
