Author Topic: Lakes aren't listed

Well, at this point.. if you really want to share that type of information I'd suggest you just post here in the forum.

We'd all love to hear the directions and fishing details of your latest adventure.

..AND you can even add a picture or two. That's something you can't share in the Reports section.

Use lat lon co-ordinates geo-caching only geo-fishing

What part of the OK are you from...what area do you fish?

i'm actually in Vernon, Recently over the last month or so i'v fished Pratt Lake 2 days, Square lake 3 days in a row, Streak lake 1 hour, Haddo lake 2 hours, Pillar Lake, and Swan lake. I just figured it would be nice if these site had options for posting your own lake but maybe they figure it might be false in one way or another who knows.

SO far this year ive fished Pillar, Joyce, Haddo, Streak, Bear, grizzly Swamps, Mable, Okanagan, Kalamalka, Damer, Swan, and the AMAZING Deep LAKE!

Where is deep lake, just looked on Map Source and couldn't see any deep lake in BC, only the one in alberta

Well when i was a kid you used to be allowed to fish there its in coldstream right behind the ranch the ranchers dont let you fish there but years ago fisheries stocked it, so now every dam fish in there is easily 4 pounds our buddies were catching fish this winter he couldnt pull through a 6 inch hole! Its a real small lake you can see it on google earth between kal lake and aberdeen.

Heres a little map of where deep lake is

did you have permission or just sneak in? you used to be able to just walk or ride a bicycle in but of course some idiots ruined it for everyone starting fires, etc. beautiful spot to spend an early spring day! would love to have permission myself.

We just snuck in, If your on the lake in a float tube they cant do shit nobody owns the water just the land around it, Pisses me off the made the trailer private property. Nicest little lake near vernon

Hey do you get Google Earth to show those fish icons? What do they represent? - lakes that allow fishing?

Indeed, agreed.

I would like to go to Surrey Lake in Logan Lake area.

But, how do I find this lakes map on SharpHooks?

Help please, thanks, Ron.

I have contacted the site owner on numerous occasions regarding having a facility to add a lake and the reply has always been that there will not be any further development of this site.

This a crying shame as I am sure, like many others, that this is a great and simple site to use and it deserves further development. It has other shortcomings but these are outweighed by the pleasant layout and easy to use controls.

I have also asked to take over the site, but again deaf ears is all I find. So I have started a new topic, "Message to the site owner". Please join me there to hopefully get a better response.

In the meantime, a copy of the "Backroads Mapbook" will give lake locations, folk here will help you find it and what to fish for, just raise a topic.

Does deep lake still have fish?
