Is it worth going to and is it easy to get there

chadsy lake is a bit of a hike to get into, I have enver fishied there but would have to walk my bellyboat and other gear so I don,t go to that lake.

bill 1953, where do you suggest a guy goes for some good bellyboat action. I'm new to this,belly tubing that is ( usually spincast off shore or troll in 10' boat). I am looking forward to getting out in the new tube!!!

Chad, hi! In order to locate all lakes which are fished well from a belly boat, go to Trip Planner, select Trip Type as "Fishing from tube". Play with other parameters to refine the list to your specs.
And if you don't want to drag the equipment, check the hiking length for particular lake.

Speaking about Chadsey Lake - this is a very quiet and peacfull place. Hiking involves some steep climing, trial is narrow (and slippery when raining). The best place to fish is behind the island (see the photo), but you need a tube to get there (never tried to hike to the other side). If you are going to fish from shore, try casting far from the shallow in the South-West (from where this photo is taken) - there is another deep hole. Lot's of gold fish in this lake as well.

hi there...my friends fished this lake a couple of years ago and they also had very long hike(summer time). they caught lots of fish on spinning gear....trout as well as bass. i don't know how fishing is in the winter time...kind of damp i imagine.
