Had a great day on the water yesterday - weather was excellent (sun, no wind, no waves).
We managed to land one undersized spring on anchovy trolling 90' deep near Capilano. Lot's of bait, but not much action. It looked like other boats didn’t have much going on as well. Actually, we were rather surprised to see 6 other sport fishing boats that day.

But, we did limit out on prawns (which does not happen very often). We put our prawn traps on the South-Eastern side of Bowen Island. On the photo you can only see our catch from the first trap.
Needless to say that crab traps (Spanish Banks) were also all full and crabs were way above the minimal size with hard shells - with an excellent taste.

And here is one of the several Puget Sound King Crabs (well, this one is not even a prince, yet) crawled into our prawn traps. We have to hold them by legs as their bodies are very soft. Funny creatures...
