I am coming to Vancouver from Aberdeen, Scotland on holiday later this year and i will be traveling in a r.v.
Can you tell me if it is possible to fish the rivers with just a license or do i have to pay for my fishing, if so what are the costs involved.

Regards

Rodbender.

You will only require a license, but you may need both a tidal and non-tidal license (and possibly extra endorsments on them, called stamps, for salmon, steelhead, and at some locations for trout) depending on where you will be fishing. You can find more info at http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/fw/ for freshwater (non-tidal) regulations, boundaries, and other info, including license fees. Also there is a link for saltwater (tidal) within that page, http://www.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/recfish/Opportunities/salmon_tidal_e.htm . Some other websites that contain info (mostly local, but some info on other areas of BC) that you might find more usefull than this site are, http://www.screamingreels.ca/ , http://www.fishingwithrod.com/ , http://www.gofishbc.com/ , http://www.bcadventure.com/adventure/angling/index.html . I hope that you find this info helpful, enjoy your visit! If you have any further questions post them here or on www.fishingwithrod.com and if I spot them I'll try to help you if I can, as will most others here or on fishingwithrod.

I hope that you won't be using the rv on your entire trip as I think that the first leg of your journey could be a tad moist. Lol??
