Author Topic: fishing with spoons

A local tackle store recommended a spoon for coho for me to use for when fishing the vedder (a gold croc spoon). I havn't used it yet, and now I've just read on another forum that anyone who uses spoons on the vedder is a snagger.

Is this true? I thought that if cohos will bite blades, then a spoon wouldn't be much different. I did pay almost 7 bucks for the spoon...

Spoons (especially a Gold and Silver Croc spoons) often work really well for Coho. You're definitely not a snagger if you use spoons for Coho (make sure to pinch the barb). Don't believe everything that you read on Fishing website Forums because there's a lot of jackasses out there who have no idea what they're talking about!

Good luck and tight lines.

The ho's were hitting gold crocs in the Cap today, but the river was running so fast that we couldn't land them. Hehe, my buddy got spooled by one that couldn't have been more that three pounds.

there are still coho they must have been dark

spooled? apparently the tail bites spoons
