Hey all,

Moved down to van from the interior (kamloops) and itchin to get out on the lakes!
Thought I may try my luck tossin some flys or some heavy artillery at some bass.
Any one fish Glouchester ponds (in aldergrove)? I read there are bass there...any tips/results from past trips?
Any confirmed bass out of brunette river? I tried that a couple weeks back and just got two squawfish and snagged a used condom.
Any spots closer to vancouver?...I'm right in the thick of things and would rather not drive too far!
Man, fishin down here isn't like the interior...I didn't realize how spoiled I was!
Cheers,

Alright, I've fished Glouchester once, and that was about a year ago. You could once access these ponds using the road running through the industrial complex, then driving through an industrial site waiting to be built on. But I hear the the warehouse has been built, and access is closed. However there may be other ways in, you just may have to walk. I found it extremely difficult to fish due the length of the grass and weeds surrounding the ponds. I found some kind of culvert that let you stand about 8 feet above the water, and that was pretty much it. I caught nothing. However, my b-in-law uses a small boat, and fish's inside the largest of the ponds. He claims to have caught fish, but all around 1/2 lb or so. For all the trouble it may not be worth it, but that's for u to decide.

Same thing with the Brunette, this river drains from Burnaby Lake, I fished there once but had no luck. Burnaby Lake is also supposed to contain bass. I fished off the docks where the rowing venue is, but only caught weeds.

I guess I could spend a little more time in these areas, maybe bring my boat down so I can fish more areas, but for whatever reason, I don't have a good feeling about these places.

Oh well, if you happen to go, let me know how u do.
