Hey i just got some new lures...i was wondoring if i could try em out in hatzic lake.but i also wanna catch fish.looking for carp or bass mainly.im a very basic fisherman so any advice for that lake would be greatly appreciated.i would probably go under the bridge when you are heading out to hazic plains on the highway.
lures,baits,strategys for carp and bass...anything that would help

if you fish under the lougheed bridge youll find mainly crappy, they congregate in front of those drainage culverts. carp, can be had well into the 20lb range if you fish across the tracks from the bridge, theres a dirty little slough there. we always used super small yellow/ orange or purple jigs for the crappy, and carp, bait is king, put it on the bottom and wait. aparently theres rainbow in hatzic but ive never caught one in tears of fishing there.....

not overly, the culverts that lead to the slough across the tracks drain the lake. there is a pump station at the back of the slough. the pump couldnt keep up during high water but has since regulated it. yes bait is best for carp, they are easily spooked.
