Topic: Vedder River - water is high & dirty |

Water in Vedder is still very high and dirty.
Tried fishing Vedder on Friday morning. Got a lot of Chums and 7 Springs. Only one Coho (first cast). My guess is that Springs and Chums forced Coho into the upper river.

Just talked to a frind of mine who had a great success today on Vedder using roe. He managed to get 4 hatchery Coho by Tamahi bridge (he would not specify exact spot).
The only other thing he mentioned is that Coho was within one feet off the shore. Chums/Springs were within 2-3 feet from the shore. So, it really matters where you drop your bait. Coho is forced into tiny pockets/channels - all better spots are occupied by Chums & Springs.
