Author Topic: Do fake worms work?

So, do they? Im using white fake worms at the moment and have had no success with them, so Im not too sure if I should try something else.
green guy

depends on what you are after.many people have found that they work on steelhead and coho.

At the moment I am only trying to catch some Trout at various lakes. I was out yesterday and a fellow fisherman told me that Rainbow Trouts usually prefer brown rubber worms then white rubber worms because they look more natural?

for trout i recommend live worms, night crawlers are better than dew worms tho dew worms are most common. where plastic worms shine is for salmon and steelhead in very murky water, it leaves a large silhouete and will endure multiple hook ups. if you find the live worms are falling off try a small elastic band or spider wire(pricy).

yea i find gulps worms work well but use green power bait and use shrimp

use either brown, black or maroon worms so then they look like the aquatic worm naturals. mainly worms represent different species of leeches and aquatic worms
