Hey all!
Ive been fishing a lot in Lafarge Lake in the last few days, and sadly, I have had no luck. Whether the fish havent been biting or there is a serious lack of fish right now, I have personally not seen many people catch anything at all. I saw just today alone only 3-5 fish being caught in about 5 hours of being there. I couldnt tell, but they all looked like either Rainbow trout or Brooke trouts. Also, I dont know if this is a common occurrence or not, but I saw a Catfish swimming by the shore.
I hope to get out again in the next few days and hopefully I can catch something.

One reason you may not be getting any replies to your posts is because we all dont have time to explain the thing called "fishing" to a newbie. We've all been there, searching the forums reading the forums and posting to get more info. But the best way to learn is by getting out there as much as possible and trying different things. Thats the way I learned how to fish. I spent allot of time in tackle shops asking questions and focusing my attention to trout, now im pretty good at catching those trout almost anywhere. But in the beginning I had no real clue what to do and many many trips out to the lake resulted in nothing but a sunburn. However all those lost days gave my knowledge of what worked and what didnt and experience. That first time I caught a trout in Pitt Lake I thought ABOUT TIME!!!! Just keep practicing and before long you'll be a great fisherman.

Thanks for the advice.
I guess that I was being way too naive to think that I will just go out and start catching fish automatically. Im just going to have to take your advice to be patient and keep practicing.

Here's a quick tip: Find a better place to go fishing than lafarge lake.

Why? Have you been to Lafarge a lot?
Most of the fishes are probably gone. They stocked it two months ago and Im betting that there isnt a whole lot left to catch.

U have to at least head to the valley, the fishing a that lake is more for kids and people who kill everything they catch. Try folley or mike if u want a quick fish from shore or of the dock. Good luck out there.
