Hey guys,

I posted another thread a while ago about beach fishing and the conversation veered towards fall fishing for pinks. I couple of guys told me fishing will be insane this fall!

I just wanted to know, What is your best day/week fishing for pinks???

As i have said before, My best day for Pinks was 67 in on day. I would say my average is around 15-20 per day when we are at the height of the run. I have fished them from the Tunnel in Richmond all the way up to and past Chilliwack.

As I said before, you will fall in love with this fishery if you are there to catch fish. If you want to eat fish, Pinks are not the best choice.

When the Pinks are in the river all you have to do is cast to them... Dont worry they'll bite. They're the most agressive of the Salmon species.

Are pinks tasty?

Compared to the other salmon species, how do they compare in taste?

Pinks are great fighters, but their flesh is a little soft. They are great for canning and even smoking but most people don't eat them.

Last pink spawn I spent a day on the fraser. Myself my dad and my stepmom were into about 12 fish each! we fished from island 22 for about 3 hours. Then went off to get some sturgeon. Truthfully I had more fun fishing the pinks! Can't wait to try it this year with my flyrod. Does anyone know if this is possible from the strech of river around the port mann on the port coquitlam side?
