I use to live in Vernon. Deep lake is on private property, and they have had signs up for a few years. I still have gone in and they have no problem with it as long as you clean up behind you, but this may have changes since the last time i was there.. They use to have problems with the young ones going in and getting shitfaced and leaving all the crap around.

thats cool. ya i have been there couple times and i havent had a problem but was just worried about getting caught haha. i try not to go to often though small lake dont want to fish it out. ive gotten some pretty nice fish outa there. but they dont fight to much and they got real soft mouths so you lose more than half of what ya hook but it can be a fun spot

I grew up near Vernon and miss the fishing in the area. Is Echo Lake open yet? My favorite was Mabel Lake, my folks had a cabin at the resort, but that will not be open for a while yet. Man, I need to get out, the cabin fever is killing me.

i havent been up to echo lake for a few months but im guessing its still iced over
cagey

spring is going to be late this year re: ice off.

yes, the ice is just coming off swan lk now. fishing is going to be at least 2 weeks late on most lakes.
