I live quite close to the lake, and I can safely say that things are QUIET. Not much being caught. Try leach patterns or a very small spinner/flasher. Dead slow on the retrieve. The fish are so sleepy you need to put it on their noses. Good luck if you go.

thnx
ill probably use some bait off the bottom and some sparkle leeches. I also might try some chironomids close to the bottom just to see if any are down there feeding on em.

not worth checking out until spring, nohing happening at all unless you have a float tube or boat you have no acess to the rainbows in the lake

If you find a dock or open area for casting a fly, I'd go with a floating line, long ass leader and a small to medium woolly bugger under an indicator. Cast the mofo as far as you can and just let it sit, suspending there and just slowly give it the odd twitch. I've seen that technique work crazy good, but that was in the summer.
