Heading out Monday. 10footer with electric troller.....
Any hints as to what to use on the end of the rod?
dubbs

trout killers and wedding bands been working for me.

How much weight are you using? How deep are you letting out and what sort of fish and size are you getting with the wedding bands and trout killers? Was having lot's of luck with the wedding band at Jones lake....hope its the same.

Yeah, personally, I think there is NO fish in this flippin lake, just kidding, there probably is, but I was dissappointed after Jones lake, some people swear they catch alot of fish out of this lake, but I never have any luck.

Alouette is a dead lake.

...u might have to take a nap..if ur not in the middle of the lake 60 - 80 feet down ...theres big kokanee in this lake..dollies and trout ..u need to be deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep in the middle tho..need a fish finder or u will leave drunk with no fish..

good luck..u might need it

Well,

5 fish in about 3 hours. Wedding band worked well. We hugged the shore on the east side and trolled fairly slow. Saw a couple others trolling but they had no luck. 2 of the fish were small but three (2 Rainbow and a Kokanee) were good size. Problems with the lake seem to be the mid day wind that freezes you and creates whitecaps for your trolling pleasures. By no means is this lake 'dead'.....seems to be a nice local stop in if you don't have the time to drive somewhere.

ha! the only reason u need to go super deep in this lake is if u are fishing for lake trout (the monster fish). I have slayed many kokanee, rainbow, cutthroat, and even a small laker 2lbs, just by trolling within 10 feet of the surface. just have to switch up what u are using till u find what works at that time. wedding band with worm for gear or black ant or red doc spratly on the fly

the lakers in there are hard ass's to catch,,,havent heard much stories about them gettin taken outta there..have u..?..yea..most productive ive bin there trollin is on the shoal of the creek and and the eastern corner befor the channle to the back....not bad ..alwasy fucn crashin threw the whitcaps on the way back..lol..tight lines

Would love more fishing tips for this lake. I to have been out several times and no luck. What area is the best. I have a sport fishing boat so white caps don't trouble me. Not catching any fish does
