is crabbing ok now? barnet, ambleside, cates, whiterock? which are hot spots? i plan on going thursday.. sounds like the only come out at 4am? is that true? thanks for info

I think crabbing is best during high tide, when the crabs drift with the tide towards the shore. Use this site to find the tides: http://tides-marees.gc.ca/cgi-bin/tide-shc.cgi?queryType=showZone&language=english®ion=1&zone=10
We use chicken (the skin, fat and bones only, save the meat), turkey parts, salmon heads and sometimes a can of catfood.
Unless the regs have changed, the daily limit is 4 dungeness. Of course, they must be over the minimum size. Bring a gauge or a ruler.
