I finally found some time to go fish for some smallies last weekend. I fished on the South side of Vaseux Lake, just at the mouth of the river. We caught fish steady all evening, but nothing too big. Last year, my friend has said that they would go there, and watch 4-5 pounders swim under the boat. Right before the stars started showing up in the sky, a nice pound smallie nailed my pumpkin seed grub. I didn't know how big it was until it was in the net. We weiged it in at 3.5 pounds. When I brought it home and started to gut it, I was curious as to see what the big bass have been eating lately. So I made a small slit along it's full, harding feeling stomach. Then, a head of someting popped out, so I pulled on it.....and pulled and pulled. It was a 8 inch long, Rubber Boa snake! But to my dissapointment, we did have a camera at home  Anyways, I'll post some pics of the bass when I get them.
