Could anyone please advise me on any good spots to fly fish on streams near Princeton? I've only fished the surrounding lakes, but when I visit later this summer I am hoping to try my hand in some of the nearby streams (Similkameen, Tulameen, etc).

Thanks in advance.

I love the Similkameen. I fish it ever year on the fly. I usually fish it up around Headly. We stay at a little canpground right on the river, Gold Mountain campground. Walk down to the river. Fish Dry's in the morniong and evening and nymphs during the day. Great fun. Small bows on the dry and White fish with nymphs. Try it you might like it.

It is a catch and release on the river below the bridge just before Stemwinder Park so if you want to keep one for dinner you must fish above the bridge.

I caught my very first trout on the Similkameen behind A&W a couple of years ago. A tiny little rainbow, but nonetheless triumphant. I was using an odd little green nymph from England.
