Author Topic: Shakespeare Ugly Stick Pack Rod

I am looking for a backpacking rod and reel. I would like it to be functional, sturdy and not cost a fortune. I would appreciate opinions on the above rod. It is described as 6"6", 6 - 15 lb line and medium action.
Or recommendations for other similar rods and reels suitable for backpacking.

Anybody got any ideas on this? I've been interested in a similar type of rod but I haven't done much research to see how well they function.

Ugly sticks are really good rods. I love the one I have. It is tough and sensitive. I highly suggest getting one.

Try to find Telescopic rod.
They very popular in Europe.

Check out this site it's good.
