im looking for some input on these rods. im looking at getting a gl2 1263 str or a gl2 1363 sar. both would be for a center pin on rivers only.im leaning a little more towards the 1363 because it is about a foot longer.11.4 feet i think?
i have looked at sages 3113 and it feels to soft and noodley. where as the loomis are both 3's so much firmer easier to set the hook and lighter the faster action feels really good.
any opion is welcome.
thanks

i personally think the SAGE stuff is a bit over rated. go with the G Loomis. Lighter in hand and i also think it just looks nicer too

I have used G Loomis rods exclusively until last year (gear and fly) when I purchased a couple of Sage fly rods. I have been happy with both but am still more pleased with the Loomis rods. For gear I use G Loomis SAR 1363c and have been very happy. I find the extra lenght to be very handy when float fishing. I do not honestly believe you can say one is better over the other. It just comes down to personal taste. I do not think you would be unhappy with a Loomis pruduct.
