Author Topic: Vedder river rookie

Hey yall, ive been watching tons of videos of steelhead fishing and ive seen enough to want in. Ive been wanting to go out for steelhead for a while but im only now starting to get the chance. I was just wondering if anyone has been out recently and had any luck. Or if anyone is willing to share some of their secrets with me. Any info at all is helpful!!!!!

Also side note i am interested in learning to fly fish as i have a little 5 wt with floating line i meed to get figured out so if anyone has advice on using that and little creeks i can figure stuff out on would be great info too, tho mostly interested in the cold steel

The best advice is to get out there and try what you have learned. at the same time watch what others are doing and , without being a pest, ask an occasional question of other fishermen. You won't catch your dream if your bate is not in the water !
Good luck.
