I was at Herrling Island this weekend and wow... here's a photo of my kid with his catch (taken when we got home - forgot camera that day - doh!). These fish were caught using the standard pink wool/corkie & bouncing betty on a cheap trout rod (as you can see in the photo). I limited in 3.5 hours including re-tying the gear after snags etc...

Second photo was what Herrling Island looked like at 8:00 am on Sunday, Sept 13. NOT busy at all. Again I limited in about 3 hours loosing most that I hooked. Almost every cast there was a fish on the line... I've never experienced such easy fishing like this before... it was glorious!

Third photo is at Derby Reach showing the fish jumping in the Fraser on Friday evening at about 7:00 pm. Not much biting but there's a whack of them for sure!

this year we had a record return for reds and now pinks! how about cohos?
