just wondering if there are decent spots to pump bugs,the spot we usually go (in front of the sandpiper pub in w rock)hasn't been producing.thanks

Maybe try Rocky Point Park in Port Moody at low tide...
I've never done it but it's worth a try

Cresent Beach has always been good for me.Go at low tide,look for small holes in the soupy looking sand,and start pumping.Good luck!

Ok at the risk of sounding stupid I'm going to guess that you are using the bugs for bait. My question to you is what bugs & how do you "pump" them????

Bugs are Ghost Shrimp.They look a lot like mini lobsters.Not for eating.But I guess some folks would (Make Soup),as there is now a possesion limit of 50.

steelhead love bugs,the females are the ones you want they have a red stripe down the back and are generaly smaller.they die instantly when exposed to fresh water,but will survive for up to a week if kept in fresh salt water they urinate in the water and it kills them so changing the water every couple days is essential.to pump them you need a pump .mine was 80 bucks about 5 years ago no clue how much they are now.a salt water license is also needed thanks for the info
