Hi I am hoping to fish in British Columbia in July 06 for Salmon preferably in a river, could any body recomend anywhere and the availability of guides.

You may be restricted to your fishing if you are stuck on river fishing. July is a tad early. Most runs come later. If you are interested in catching salmon at that time, I think that you may be better off ocean fishing. Perhaps from the
Queen Charlottes or the west coast of Vancouver island. There may be rivers on the islands that will produce at that time. I don't know. Contact local guides for the best info.

Are you interested in fishing sturgeon, try Dave's Fishing Charters in Chilliwack, excellent guide, great boat, good gear and a high catch ratio.

the skeena river area should be good for springs in july. also the fraser should be picking up in july for both springs and sturgeon.
try one of the guides mentioned for the fraser. the guide bc site should help you else where to get info.
